Mark Harris is a loved and respected principal at Hermosa Middle School in Farmington, NM. He and his beautiful wife Ashlie are the parents of twelve amazing children and just last month they became grandparents to a handsome baby boy. To know the Harris family is to know love in action. Mark and his family exude love and kindness and they bring joy to all who know them. They are much-loved members of the Red Mesa, CO community.
On Wednesday, June 29th, Mark Harris was involved in a serious car accident on the highway near his home. He was flown from the scene of the accident to a nearby hospital where they were able to control some of the bleeding and get his blood pressure stabilized enough to fly him to a larger hospital in Albuquerque, NM. The accident left Mark with broken bones, fractured vertebrae, and extensive injuries to his head and face. His bleeding and the swelling on his brain are being monitored. He faces a number of surgeries over the coming days and weeks. As of this writing he is in stable condition and has been responding to commands. Those who are with him say that he is receiving excellent care and that he is progressing well.
I am setting this account up to help ease some of the burden and stress that an accident of this magnitude brings with it. 100% of any money raised through this account will go directly to Mark and Ashlie. The Harris family has been a lighthouse in my life. They have helped me, and so many others, more than they know. This account is my small way of attempting to give some love, care, and concern back to them.
