Adaptive Surfing Program

My name is Rocky McKinnon and I am a professional surfer/shaper/surf and stand-up paddle instructor. Being raised in a home where giving back to the community and helping others instilled a great sense of purpose and passion to continue that work as an adult. I have been actively sharing my surfing skills and experience by taking kids in the special needs community and kids with severe illnesses out surfing with me, whether tandem surfing or in a "Chair Board" for the more severely handicapped or injured for over 10 years now. I have also worked with re-habilitating our men and women in uniform by taking them stand-up paddling and surfing.
Recently it became apparent that an Adaptive Surfing Program for the public was needed due to the limited availability of non-profits and volunteers to provide the maximum level of enjoyment and opportunity for the special needs community throughout the year.
I have now added an Adaptive Surfing Program for the Special Needs Community to my list of programs I offer from McKinnon Surf & SUP Lessons . 
This program will provide the kids (or participants) more water time, more waves, which ultimately leads to more fun throughout the year. While still implementing safety as a priority.
To ensure that I have all the necessary equipment to provide the best experience possible, I have started this GoFundMe page.
