Mrs. Harris Hurricane Harvey Fund

My friend and co-worker is a teacher at an urban public charter k-8 school. Her kids are the most generous and caring kids you'll ever meet - despite the fact that they have very little themselves. Their families struggle every day to make ends meet. Yet, as they witnessed the tragedy of Hurricane Harvey unfold, they felt compelled to act. They organized and collected all that they could to aid those suffering. From clothes to non-perishable food items and other supplies, they worked hard to make a difference. Unfortunately, on Saturday, Sept. 2, a cold-hearted individual or individuals stole my co-worker's car from outside her home - and in her trunk was all of the items they'd scraped together. Please find it in your hearts to help these kids replace the items they worked so hard to collect for donation. Let's show these kids that their efforts did not go unnoticed and that there are still good and kind-hearted people in this world. Let's help to provide the funds to donate to Hurricane Harvey charities of the students' choice, in their names.
