Coach Jose Franco Memorial Fund

Coach Jose Franco was the head coach River Plate, a U17 boys soccer team in Montgomery County with Pachuca FC USA.  He was an amazing young man who loved the game of soccer and loved his players just as much.  He gave all his time, every weekend, evenings and holidays, rain or shine, summer or winter, to ensure that the team as well as all the players succeeded without ever expecting anything in return. Seeing the players develop was his reward.  He was extremely generous and went above and beyond his coaching duties, often providing rides to players to games, tournaments and practices and even watcing over some players when travel for a game was necessary, always making sure that they were fed.  He was simply a wonderful person who was taken from us way too soon.

River Plate wrapped up their spring season with the EDP College Showcase in New Jersey 3 weeks ago where they finished as semi-finalists.  The team was taking a short break before they were to resume training later this summer. Coach Jose took a much deserved vacation to Mexico this past week and yesterday, June 28, 2016, while still on vacation, he was called to be with the Lord.  It is now necessary to transport him back to the USA and to start the difficult task of making funeral arrangements all  of which have big financial implications.   Right now his family and loved ones are grieving and we want to do everything possible to help ease some of the financial burden that they suddendly find themselves with by raising money to help cover some of these expenses.

Coach Jose was always there for everyone who needed him and right now he needs us.  Please consider a donation in support of Coach Jose and the Franco family to help reduce their financial burden, better enabling them to focus on their grief and holding tight to the loving memories they have of Jose.  It will all be appreciated beyond words.
