Friends and Family,
Two of my dearest friends lost their home today in a horrible fire. Their house and their belongings are gone. They left their house this morning for a nomal day and are now left with the clothes on their back and the memories in their heart. Here is the link to their story: http://mycj.co/295t7jF.
This was their dream house. The house they brought both their sons, John (4) and Matthew (11 months) home from the hospital. This is where many of us were invited to visit with friends and make memories of our own, including their annual Charity Pig Roasts.
Joe and Marisa are more than just friends, they are family to everyone. My guess is that if you have been friends with them at some point, they both selflessly helped you with something, never asked for money, and never asked for a favor returned. They have the hugest hearts and when anyone needs them, they are there.
It is now the time that they need all of us. Marisa and Joe are not the kind of people to ask for anything, but I am. Please consider donating to their campaign to help them financially rebuild their lives and rebuild their home. There is a very long road ahead of them and although we will all be there for emotional support, lets help them make it easier to rebuild.
I am not sure of specifics yet of what they need, but any monetary donation will go directly to Marisa and Joe. They will be able to set up their own login and use the funds as needed (none of these funds come to me). As discussed, they literally have nothing. The boys have no clothes, Marisa and Joe are naked (but I am sure Marisa has one pair of sweats and a t-shirt and Joe has a collared golf shirt tucked away someplace)...they have nothing but their family and the love and support of all of us.
They are very overwhelmed right now and have no idea that I am setting this up (until we share share share)! Get the word out if possible. Share the page - college friends, co-workers, Sorority and Fraternity brothers, High School Friends, and of course family. Please feel free to private message me on Facebook and I will try to provide any updates I can and see what other non-monetary items they can use at this time.
