 NORTH CA, OH
Zachary Herrera, a Junior at North Canton Hoover High School, was struck by tragedy when a blood clot deep in his brain caused an artery to burst. Against all odds, he has persevered through 2 brain surgeries that statistically most would not have survived. He now spends each day and night with his parents, Gwen and Mike, by his side in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Akron Children's Hospital. The outpouring of support has been awe inspiring but they have a long road to recovery. The financial burden on the family has and will continue to be immense. Please join me in supporting the Herrera family as they embark on the long journey to bring Zach home.

Everyday I read another article or hear a story of the North Canton community honoring Zach in one way or another. I can't tell you how much these actions and deeds mean to the family. The loss remains a roller coaster of emotion but it is these daily stories of Zach that have helped them endure the pain of his loss. Thank you to each and every person who has shared fond memories of Zach and those who have commemorated him through your thoughtful actions.
We are less than $300 from reaching our fundraising goal for the Herrera family. Please share with your family and friends!

Over the last several days I witnessed a community unite around a family still trying to understand why Zach was taken from us at such a young age. The support over the last month has been nothing short of amazing. The family, though mourning, has laughed and hugged strangers from the community that came to share stories of how Zach had impacted them in his 16 years. Zach was truly a special young man with a heart that touched more than many do in a lifetime. We cannot begin to understand the why behind his early departure but we are comforted in knowing that Zach lives on in so many people's hearts and memories. I cannot begin to share my gratitude, as well as the families, for all that has been done. I love you buddy. #zachstrong
