Hotel Bar Tabs at GOP Convention

I'm heading off to Cleveland to cover the 2016 GOP convention in a mere three weeks.  All signs suggest that the quadrennial running of the elephants will be uniquely miserable.

Major party conventions have been, in recent memory, made-for-TV beauty pageants without any beauty.  Since presumptive nominee Donald Trump has locked up the majority of delegates and ostensibly staved off a contested convention showdown, convention attendees will get all of the boredom of an average convention with none of the optimism and excitement that radiates from a unified party.

Four years ago, a candidate as sterile as Mitt Romney booked a bonafide Hollywood legend like Clint Eastwood to deliver primetime remarks.  This time, top Republicans are turning down invitations to speak, while many party standardbearers will forego the convention altogether.  Even lowly, disgraced, and washed-up NFL quarterback Ben Roethlisburger has publicly rejected the opportunity to

I've been hard at work researching some ways to Make the Conventions Rowdy Again, and apparently back in 1924, coincidentally the last time one of the major parties held its convention in Cleveland, the Democratic Party shipped in enough bourbon to overfill Lake Erie—
even in spite of the fact that prohibition laws were in effect.

I tried calling a few major bourbon distilling brands, but they hung up on me as soon as I floated the idea, so I decided that the next best thing was to create a GoFundMePage to fund a few bartabs throughout the week at various hotel bars around the Quicken Loans Arena.

Please consider donating so that me and any similarly disposed Republican delegates can make it through these trying times.
