Funeral Expenses for Laura Sampayo

September 8, 2015, the day my dad took his last breath and lost his fight to bladder cancer. It was also the day my little sister, Laura, turned 23 years old. It was one of the hardest days of my life, until June 25, 2016.
Only 9 months after losing our father, we have lost Laura in a tragic car accident. We are still in shock and trying to cope with the events that occurred and we are grateful for all your thoughts and prayers.
My beautiful sister Laura was so full of life. She loved hard. She made every one around her smile. She had a huge heart and I cannot even imagine what our lives will be like without her. She was looking forward to her first cruise in September and I am truly saddened by all of the things she will not get to do like have children, get married, or even little things like have sand in her toes or feel the wind in her hair when the windows are down on a hot summer day.
She wasn’t drinking and driving, she wasn’t being reckless, it was a series of multiple strange events that happened as she was driving home from work. It almost seems as if there were forces pulling her to be with my dad. This is not something we may ever understand, but we will have to accept.
At the age of 23, we aren’t thinking about death and accidents. We think about our future and love and making babies some day. This is the reason we set up this go fund me account, to help with the cost of funeral expenses. My family thanks you for all of your kind words, prayers, and donations to help with these expenses for my sister. Thank you again from the Sampayo Family.
