Many of you know Hank and Maureen Lloyd from the Costa Mesa Tennis Center in Orange County California.
Hank Lloyd grew up in Fullerton and played tennis at Sunny Hills High School. He spent 1977 and 1978 on the Pro Circuit tour after graduating from San Jose State University.
Hank and Maureen have run the Costa Mesa Tennis Center since 1999 but have been influential leaders in the Orange County tennis community for decades before. They have touched and influenced so many lives and shared their love for the great sport of tennis and introduced the sport to so many over the years.
Whether it's Hank teaching on court with his positive, contagious energy or Maureen running the pro shop with her beautiful smile, there is no other couple that put more heart and soul into tennis than these two.
In the past two weeks, the pro shop at the Costa Mesa Tennis Center (CMTC) has been broken into three times. Hank and Maureen had been saving money to purchase a new ice machine at the CMTC but recently had to put this money into repairs and to replace the stolen items at the tennis center, including the security bars on the doors/windows.
We want to rally the community together – especially all of those who have had the privilege to know Hank and Maureen over the years – to help them purchase this new ice machine for the benefit of all who visit the CMTC.
While the cost of the ice machine is around $4000, we would also like to help them to install a security system and the monthly monitoring fees. Any monies raised over the estimated $8,000 will be used to upgrade the pro shop and provide them with a financial cushion for the future.
Please note that Hank and Maureen are not organizing this fundraiser – we are members of the community who want to support this amazing couple who have given so much to the Orange County tennis family.

EXTRA: For those of you who contribute $20 or more, you can participate in the 2016 Wimbledon Racquet Bracket.
The Grand Prize Winner of the Racquet Bracket will receive two Season Tickets for all home matches for the Orange County Breakers (subject to availability on matches). Four tickets to an upcoming 2016 Breakers' match will be given to the 2nd place winner, while 3rd place receives two tickets.
