Help Vedana (Nani) Beat Cancer

Hi Everyone,
My name is Vedana, though you may know me as Nani.I am a 38 year old married librarian and I have ovarian cancer. In 2015 I was diagnosed at New York Presbyterian Hospital. I had my first surgery there, but they wanted to give me a hysterectomy and I want children. I moved my treatment to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and had fertility sparing surgery. My surgeon, oncologist and I were pretty confident that my cancer would not return. I had the surgery and moved on with my life.
In the last year since I had my cancer surgery I married my husband Peter, and started a new job as a Career Services Advisor. I continued my appointments with my oncologist, and on Tuesday June 21st I was greeted with painful news. My cancer has returned. It has broken my spirit in many ways, but particularly because it has broken my dream of having children.
I will be having surgery in a few weeks. After the surgery I will be having radiation and chemotherapy, which will make it impossible for me to bear children. I may also have a hysterectomy, though my doctors are hopeful it will not be necessary.
I am raising money to help me with my medical bills including in vitro fertilization (IVF) so that I will be able to have a child. Having a child is very important to me, and I really need your help in order to make this dream come true.
My doctors want me to have my cancer surgery as soon as possible, which means I need to have the IVF surgery immediately. IVF is considered to be an advanced fertility technique and is not covered by my health insurance. My husband is a teacher, and I work at a non-profit and neither of us can afford this procedure. Please could you help me save my life and create a child?
Peter and I appreciate any help you could give us. We value thoughts and prayers, but hope you will also be able to help support us through this medical emergency.
