Flood Relief for the Cleghorn Fam
Jonathan and Melissa Cleghorn and their three small children left their home in Clendenin, WV to visit her parents. While they were gone, their entire basement and first floor were flooded in the worst WV flood ever recorded. They lost all their furniture, instruments ( including a family heirloom), all Jonathan and Melissa's clothes, appliances, etc. Only the kids rooms upstairs were undamadged. Ttheir was porch partially collapsed. They have structural insurance, but they did not have any insurance on any of their possessions. As you can imagine, this will be an almost insurmountable financial challenge for a young family. To top this all off, they are in the middle of a challenging time with their daughter who has special health needs (colostomy bag, etc.). They are trusting God through this ordeal, knowing that He had a plan. But part of His plan could be for others to show them love by helping out their family financially. If you can't give financially, please pray and share! ❤️

Here's an update from my brother. They have used all the money that was donated towards fixing up their house. Thanks for your generosity. Also: If you are looking for a family to adopt for Christmas, they would be a good one.
Here's the update.....
"Since the last update, we have been able to start rebuilding a good bit of the house. The basement is gutted, cleaned, and re-wired, and we have shifted all our efforts to the first floor, which has also been gutted and cleaned. Thanks to several groups of skilled volunteers, we have leveled several floors, installed new subfloors, run wiring and insulation, and drywalled the first floor. Another volunteer crew did the taping and mudding for us, and we were able to paint and prime the walls. I am now working on making all the electrical connections such as outlets, switches, lights, etc, and when that is complete we will be able to start installing the new flooring and cabinets.
In the mean time, we have been renting a 30-foot fifth wheel, which the owner parked in our back yard for us. Being on our own property has helped restore at least some normalcy for the boys, and allows me to work on the house anytime I have a free evening. But we certainly are looking forward to moving back into the house, where we will have room to turn around without bumping into each other :-) At this point, our admittedly ambitious goal is to be able to move back into the house by Christmas.
Thanks to everyone who has been praying for us! Please continue, as we keep working towards moving back in."
