The Richwood Pantry has been a pivotal part in helping not only the Richwood community but the surrounding areas with deliverance of food for those in need, and we also are an emergency shelter for natural disasters. Although the recent tragedy has left not only us but all of the state in turmoil. If you look at the photos and videos provided, you will see that we are in desperate need to help our community. However, we cannot do that without your help. Our building has been damaged by the flood, and the extent is not yet known to us, but we know we will have to replace all of the food inside that has been affected, and there's no telling what we'll have to do to the building and its equipment. I ask you to help us so that we can help Richwood as it rebuilds from this great tragedy.

We have lost twelve freezers, four refrigerators, twenty-six beds out of our emergency shelter, one gas range, one electric range, washing machine, dryer and all of the food stored within the pantry. We are working hard to replace all items so that we can provide relief to the flood victims and reopen the shelter. All help would be greatly appreciated.

It reminded me of the times when my dad was out of work and neighbors fed us. And it also reminded me of a third grade Christmas play at Milltown grade school I think it was the Christmas of 1953 and Mildred Hollingsworth was my teacher. God bless you all in Richwood.
