Josh's Disney Celebration Trip

It has been an incredibly hard couple of years for Josh, physically, emotionally and financially we have suffered great losses.  
It's time to end the chapter of heartache and celebrate new beginnings!
As if it's not tough enough to have Cerebral Palsy, wheelchair bound, unable to communicate verbally and have epilepsy, Joshua recently broke his hip, again, and had to have hip replacement and pelvis reconstruction, again, in April at UCSF Children's Hospital. It was successful!

As he was recovering, his loyal Service Dog, Cecil Lucky Buttons, by his side though thick and thin for 10 years, fell ill of advanced cancer and died within 2weeks of diagnosis. Josh was devestated.
When he was healed enough to return to class, he was forced to change schools because his classroom found his medical condition too much to manage.

All this just months after having to uproot his entire universe and move over 100 miles away from his home, his life, and all his friends because his Mom and Step-Dad divorced.
After the divorce Josh went from having all his needs met and more, to having to live in moderate poverty as me, Mom, became single for the first time in over a decade.

The coup de grace,  tragically Joshua's  last living Grandparent passed away after a stroke.

The kid has had some really hard blows these last 2 years.  He has been through more than most grown men. Joshua is an amazing loving, wonderful boy with a wicked sense of humor and pure love of life, despite his challenges. 

This trip we will be celebrating new beginnings, an end to the bad luck and celebrating Joshy having fully recovered from his injury and surgeries.  UCSF has been a huge blessing to Josh, and this last surgery was successful and is expected to last.

This trip must be a success for Joshy. He truly deserves a few days of some pure joy and happy memories at his favorite place in the world, Disneyland! Fun fact: Josh and Walt Disney share the same Birthday and he went as Walt for Halloween 2 years ago!  Thank you for reading ❤️
