JOY Ride for Mothers and Babies

Tax deductible

On July 1st, 2016, Reverend Duncan Lanum, age 77, Rector of St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church will undertake a 1500 mile bicycle ride from Santa Fe, NM to Atlanta, Georgia. Duncan's purpose in making this trek is to honor and memorialize his beloved wife, Joy, who died on March 12, 2015.

It is Duncan's hope and goal that such a trip will inspire generous contributions to the Joy Rose Lanum Memorial Fund which will help the nonprofit Many Mothers provide support and help to mothers and babies as Joy would so lovingly desire. Joy believed from the bottom of her heart that "babies are the best thing on earth."

For the last 16 years of her life, Joy combined her skills as a Registered Nurse and licensed lactation consultant with her unending love for babies by also serving as an active volunteer with Many Mothers whose mission is to contribute to the health and wellbeing of communities by providing physical, emotional, and practical support to any family following the birth or adoption of a new baby.

Rev. Lanum would be deeply moved and thankful for any and all contributions made to the Joy Rose Lanum Fund which provides support for lower income families with new babies. Many Mothers is a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Rev. Lanum feels deeply grateful to be able to undertake this lengthy bike ride in honor of his beloved wide, and he requests your prayers for pease and safety during the ride.
