The Owen Project

The Owen project started with my 10 year old boy who is Autistic. He wants to have a fun food truck geared towards his friends & call it Foodcraft. This idea has turned in to much more. We'd like to have a truck that we can offer not only food that is purchased locally & made from scratch also sensory friendly. Install a quiet generator so not to have the bothersome noise. Offer sensory activities such as bubbles, sandpit & more. We'd eventually like to employ persons on the spectrum accordingly. Encourage team work & independent learning along with building friendships. Have the opportunity for more community awareness along with building a great support network for parents & caretakers. Another long term goal is to have a Center that would be available for parents & persons served to come together for support groups, fun activities, & much more. Our main focus right now is to take off with the food truck. We are asking for donations for everything, appreciate any form of support. We believe The Owen Project will be a positive venture & looking forward to the opportunity to create together as a community!
