Coltons Medical Fund

Colton was born 9/20/11 and began his fight with Joubert Syndrome. He has central and obstructive apnea which led to a Trach and vent for most of his life so far. He has a hx of seizures and autonomic storms. He has very low muscle tone and is immobile. Because of low muscle strength he is also fed via GJ tube. He also fights severe gastric immotility. Colton also has developmental delays. Despite all of these as well as more struggles Colton faces life like a warrior and is the light of his families life. He brings joy to everyone who has met him and he has already more than went beyond the abilities projected for him at birth. Colton has consistently surprised every physician who has ever worked with him. However in the last year his syndrome has made this fight much harder for him and both his lungs and autonomic system are now in failure. Colton has been hospitalized 4 times in one month with pneumonias and has had numerous close calls. After several procedures and tests and changes in medication his lungs have still shown serious decline. This is not good for Colton’s future and the decision was made to begin Hospice to make him more comfortable at home. We do not know how much longer we have with our Superman that is between him and God but we are going to spend all of our days making his life complete and happy as can be. Anyone wanting to help with the numerous expenses that are involved in Colton’s care would be greatly appreciated.
