Savanna to the DNC in Philly

This weekend I attended the Texas Democratic Convention in San Antonio and was chosen for 2 honors SD 21's Elector (part of the Electroal College if Texas goes Blue), and also a chance to go the the National Democratic Convention in Philadelphia!!!

I am raising money to cover travel expenses so that I will be able to go. I don't have a lot of time to raise funds as the convention is next month!

I have been very active in the Democratic primary for Bernie Sanders. I decided to become more involved in my local democratic party, as well as supporting progressive ideals and movements. On Friday I worked with the PREP Petitions and walked over 5 miles to get signatures to help get the Texas Democratic Party a more progressive platform, and pass progressive resolutions. I have a chance to not only represent progressive values in Philly, I am also still (at 31) considered to be a young Democrat which needs to be represented.

For me this is such a huge dream, and something that so many would love to do. While I had hoped that I would have this chance I felt so many others worked so hard, and am honored to have been chosen to go.

Please help me do this!
