My name is Adam Wilson, and my son Logan is on the autism spectrum. I have experienced so many wonderful things through having an autistic son. He has more empathy than anyone I have ever met, and is very sensitive to the needs of others. Unfortunately, he is also very sensitive to loud noises, bright lights, and other strong stimuli.

Overstimulation can lead to meltdowns, which are heartbreaking to watch happen. These types of sensory processing issues are, sadly, not uncommon for many on the autism spectrum, and they can be a barrier to experiencing and enjoying the world in the same way that others can. That is why I started Calm Passion.

At Calm Passion, our goal is to enrich the lives of autism spectrum families by creating sensory appropriate events for them to attend. We have been incorporated as a 501(c)3 Registered non-profit for that specific purpose.

We would like to raise the funds necessary to cover the preliminary costs of starting the first comic book convention specifically made for those on the autism spectrum, CalmerCon. This will give autism families a chance to enjoy their very own special event knowing that preparations have been made to meet their sensory and safety needs.
