Pizza For Hospital Staff at ORMC

Donation protected
As a Florida native, Orlando has a very special place in my heart. I was born there. I have good friends who live there (thank god they are safe), and it's one of my favorite places to visit. I was devastated to hear of the shooting that has left 50 dead and 53 injured. Some, I'm certain, are fighting for their lives as I type this. As an ICU RN I can't imagine how stressful and difficult a situation the hospital staff have been faced with. I can't tell you how many times I have gone without a lunch break on particularly stressful days when priority number one is that sick, dying patient who you're desperately trying to save. On said days we usually will collectively decide to go in on a few pizzas. It's a convenient, quick way to refuel and get back to your patient. That being said, with your help, I would like to buy pizza and have it delivered to the hospital staff at Orlando Regional Medical Center. I honestly have no clue how much it would cost to feed both day and night shifts, but I figure this is a start! I would like to be able to do this sooner rather than later, so thank you for any contribution you're able to make! Pray for Orlando.

The gofundme peeps don't think I have a clear enough description of how I know the beneficiaries or how I plan to distribute the funds so maybe this will help....

1) How do I know the beneficiaries?
The answer is, I don't. I don't personally know them. Neither do most of the people wanting to help. I am a fellow RN who empathizes with what these nurses, doctors, techs, respiratory therapists, etc must have went through, and are still going through, saving all of these lives.

2.) How do I plan on dispersing the funds
As I stated in the update, we are still waiting for the lockdown to lift. When I originally made this page it was only supposed to be for 24hrs. That has been extended for an undisclosed amount of time. I have been in contact with external affairs regarding this and will be notified when the hospital is ready to accept donations. The popular Facebook group 'Show Me Your Stethoscope' set up a  page yesterday on Classy with the same intent for money raised... Feed the hospital workers. They are even going a step further by making sure the people working the blood drives are fed as well and looking into other areas where the money donated will be well spent. They contacted me yesterday after seeing my gofundme page come up in a Google search for pizza delivery in Orlando (how awesome!). After conversing with them, I am now going to take what is raised on this page and transfer it into theirs once the hospital has lifted the lockout. I'm doing this because the money will be able to be used on a much larger scale.
