80 New Beds for the Dogs at HSSC

Friends and Family, I was inspired to create this Go Fund me account by watching a video on social media about dogs not always having the best situation when living in shelters. Dog beds create a sense of security and comfort and better quality of life for the animal. In my opinion I believe that it also helps the dogs ‘get adopted’ because when I see a dog cuddled up on a dog bed, the next thing I see is what that dog would look like cuddled up in my warm and cozy home.  

I’ve decided why can’t we all do something like this – especially for our own local shelters here in Sarasota County.

My heart aches that there’s not more that I can do for all the homeless animals in the world and in our own community – but this is something that we can do by being involved in this fundraising campaign. We will provide new bedding for a local shelter for all the dogs.

The Humane Society of Sarasota County is in need of new dog beds and I say “let’s do it – together.” Please donate only what you can – The Humane Society will appreciate anything that you can donate, if we were to go over the goal, that money would go towards other supplies like food, medical care etc.

Kuranda beds are exactly what they need –at the cost of 29.00 per bed plus shipping and they need 80. These are the beds that sit a little higher so the dogs aren’t on the floor and that they are also more sturdy so they don’t have to worry about the dogs chewing them and that are easy for cleaning.
