Help! Car Needed
My name is Jamey Davis. I'm 42 years old and was recently accepted into the Iowa Operating Engineers apprenticeship. It's a three year apprenticeship and I can be a full-time journeyman by the time I'm 45. There's only one problem: I don't have a car. I had a car, but it's currently out of commission and would cost more to fix than what I paid for it.
I expected to be working by now but the powers-that-be won't send me out to a job without a car. A vehicle is required to be able to go from jobsite to jobsite.
They've threatened to drop me from the apprenticeship program altogether if I don't get wheels soon.
I need your help to raise between five hundred and a thousand bucks to get a decent beater car to get me started.
The Bakken pipeline was recently approved to be built through Iowa and I could be working on that line making a LOT of money. (up to $2,000 a week) but the Op. Engineers won't send me down there without a car.
I am desperate. I don't want to lose this amazing opportunity. A single car could make a HUGE difference in the remaining course of my life. Can you please help me out?
Sincerely,
Jamey
