Hello!
I am Emily Kessler and I wrestle at the University of Winnipeg as a Wesmen athlete. I am the varsity wrestler at 55kg.
I come from Essex, Ontario where I wrestled for Essex District High School and competed all over Ontario and Canada. Here is an incredible opportunity to represent where I'm from, where I am, and who I have become in the 9 years I have wrestled.
This summer I am looking to travel to Guelph, Ontario to compete in the Canada Cup (June 25, 2016) and contine on to Madrid, Spain to compete in the Grand Prix of Spain (July 9-10, 2016). The tournament in Spain will also provide me with a training camp which will help me improve in all aspects of my wrestling.
By participating in these events, I will be a small step closer to achieving my dreams of being a part of a senior national wrestling team, as well as winning the 2020 Olympic Trials.
All money raised will go towards my travel expenses, tournament fees, meals, and camp fees.
Unfortunately, as a full time student athlete, I am unable to fully fund myself to go on this trip of a lifetime. That's where I need your help. Every penny counts!
This is also just one of my methods of fundraising. Feel free to ask me other ways that you can help me achieve my dreams.
