Chuck's Survival
Chuck is a 59 year old husband, father and grandfather. We are requesting funds to help him cover the costs of deductibles and copays of amounts above and beyond of his insurance coverage, and post surgery expenses. He was misdiagnosed with adult onset asthma. Believing that's what it was, he accepted the medication recommendations of asthma medications. No x-rays, or other work-ups were recommended, so he lived as an asthmatic not realizing he had pulmonary fibrosis, his lungs turning into cardboard. When I first posted this request for help, he was dying and the only hope was a lung transplant. Yesterday he was blessed by someone who lost their life, and Chuck had his transplant! He has a long journey ahead of him as he learns to breathe and live again. He will need to take fistfuls of drugs on a daily basis so as not to reject these lungs. Your donations will help him receive regular care and lifelong prescriptions that being a lung transplant survivor require. We have been blessed, and we are grateful.
