Troy was injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday 21st of May whilst away on a trip with mates travelling across South Australia.

Troy was air lifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Adelaide Hospital with C2 to C6 damage and Spinal Cord damage.

He underwent life saving surgery due to his injuries, his C3 and C4 were removed and a Cervious Cage, Skyline Plate and screws were implanted.
Troy is now an incomplete Quadriplegic.

Troy was moved to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and then transferred to Royal Rehab.

So it is 15 months since Troys accident. We are still in Royal Rehab and Troy still having major complications. As a Quadriplegic he has the day to day issues but having extreme hypersensitivity is horrible. He can never go outside, he can't wear warm clothes on his skin, no-one can touch him, his kids and myself can't give him a cuddle, a water drop from his drink bottle and running down his skin sends him off, showering and now if he is driving his wheel chair it causes a little breeze so it brushes past his skin and sets him off causing spasmatic convulsions.
His spasmatic convulsions can happen everyday and last between 4 and 5 hours with each episode sometimes happening twice a day. Watching him convulsing for such long periods of time is heart breaking. It is cruel. He then is heavily sedated to stop convulsions. Respiratory system is then compromised as he then forgets to breathe. Swallowing and stomach are affected after each episode as it causes more damage.

My husband is a champion and amazing. With everything he is going through he never whines or complains. He is inspirational and courageous and the kids and I just want to bring him home.
