Aussie Hero Quilts - Jan-Maree
JM has expressed her thanks for the overwhelming support.
Thank you to everyone for showing your support for the Ball family.
Meaghan Suttor , the other thing that Jan-Marie is worried about is the loss of her records. We all know how particular she is about this. I was wondering if there is a very good computing person who could put up pages with month, year ,from(name of person who made either quilt or laundry bag) and to( name of person -with their rank- who received quilt /laundry bag etc) plus short description of item donated ? I have kept all the addresses of the people I have sent to, in my diary, on the date their item had to be sent by. Perhaps others have also?and we could start to get this information for Jan-Marie? I am not a great computer person but I was thinking like a spreadsheet thingy? Is this possible?
Jo asked me if I would put out a blog blast about Jan-Maree and I was happy to do anything I could to help. What a wonderful woman with a huge heart for others. If you want to read my post you will find it here: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2016/06/for-quilters-with-heart.html
Just to let you know, I have sent through the link to a ship currently on deployment, and they are taking donations from pretty much everyone on the ship for a mass donation. Many of them received their hero quilts and laundry bags on this trip and are devastated at the news. XX
Thank you so much for the quilt you organised for my husband when he was on deployment in the Middle East. A giant Mario Bro and an even bigger grin in the ships newsletter that we all got to see back home too.
Can we raise the goal amount before the Craft Show? Hasn't even started yet & I had people asking during set-up where there could donate!
Please consider helping a fellow quilter. Go to Bonnie Hunter's blog for more information. http://quiltville.blogspot.com/
Meaghan, please check your Messenger private message (probably in your 'others' folder as we're not connected). Great job on supporting Jan-Maree.
Any chance we can raise it to $25,000?
Is there an address we can send essential items to in addition to donating?
