Help MadeiraIsland Wildfire Victims

Hi! My name is Diogo. Im a Portuguese nurse and have been living in UK for 4 years now. I was born in Madeira and there I lived 24 years of my life. It is where all my family lives and most of my experiences reside. Im starting this fundraising because at this very moment Madeira Island is in flames. A wildfire that has started yesterday in the middle of the forest hasnt been stopped although all the efforts, and its spreading in all ways, uncontrolled, devastating everything it touches. The "pearl of the Atlantic" is on flames as it has never been before. People have died and more than 400 have currently evacuated their homes. They are struggling because they are not prepared for such an event like this, not having the appropriate resources to calm this fire down.
It is very sad to be watching all this miles away but I think being this far we can still help, supporting these associations that are in the field taking care of these affected people.
Lets give them more funds so they can keep providing good shelter, food and other basic goods to them.
