 LONGMONT, CO
Ashley Doolittle was an incredible person - friend to all, talented and smart, a wonderful horsewoman, and an extraordinary young lady. She was taken from us far too soon.

This fund will help Ashley's mother, Ann Marie Doolittle, with the many expenses incurred with this tragedy. Ann Marie will be the sole beneficiary.

On behalf of the Boulder County 4-H community, and Ashley's many friends in 4-H and FFA, we thank you for contributing in Ashley's memory.

Friends - thank you all for your donations and the incredible job you've done in spreading the word to help Ann Marie Doolittle. I've "updated" the GoFundMe goal to $25,000 due to some negative comments about the original goal amount. It was not my intention to cause any controversy with the goal amount. We are trying to provide tangible help at a time when our good friends need us most - and I didn't want to underestimate the possibilities. Thanks again - and may you all continue to ride with a little remembrance of Ashley in your hearts.

Tom Bartley - when a child is take from their parents suddenly there is more than funeral expenses to think of. Shall her mom just return to work immediately so she can pay her bills? Every single penny she is provided will give her some peace that at least she can pay her bills while she grieves an unbelievable loss. And do please keep in mind that it was likely out of the kindness of someone, besides the family, who set the amount realizing there is no amount that will ever make this ok.

Tom Bartley- like the others said, they are not only paying for a funeral, they will need to miss work to be present for the trial, which I assume will be lengthy. Plus, I know that if I lost my child I would not feel even remotely up to returning to work. Would you? Plus, it is my assumption that any thing that is not used for their expenses during this time will go towards the Ashley Doolittle Princess Program that was started in her memory. That being said, if you don't want to donate, that is your decision and right. However, making callous statements, insinuating that this family will use the donations given to them to help them during this tragedy, to buy a new truck, was uncalled for. Sometimes things are better left unsaid.

I feel like it doesnt matter what the amount is honestly, the family just built a new home in order to accommodate Ashley's love of horses and agriculture interests, living here in Colorado those endeavors are expensive! Not to mention the upkeep of animals. You have a choice to contribute or not too this isnt a forceful issue on go fund me. No one except her mother knows what expenses will have to be paid as Im sure Ashley's job at Murdochs contributed to the expenses of her hobbies. Im saddened that this has turned out to be such a huge deal about how much the goal is.....This trial is going to take forever, that is missed time from work, which pays bills. Sometimes the old fashion rule" if you dont have anything nice to say then keep it to yourself" set the goal to 200,000 because honestly no amount will ever replace her presence!

The family will have a lot of expenses throughout this ordeal. Not only do they have funeral expenses but, when the trial starts, they will have to miss work, too. Correct me if I am wrong but, FMLA will not cover lost time for the time off for the trial. I hope no one feels I am being callused by bringing up this subject but, I am trying to be practical and explain some issues that others may not have thought about and help Ashley's family.

100k in expenses ? I didn't realize a funeral had such high expenses. It is sad to sensatiinalize a tragic death so that somebody can buy a new truck. If you would be honest about where 100k is spent, than I would donate.

She is in the sun, the wind, the rain, she's is in the air with every breathe you take. She songs a song of hope, and cheer, there is no more pain, no more fear. You'll see her in the clouds above, hear her wisper words of love. You'll be together before long, until then listen for her song. -Christy Ann Martine There are no words at this time, please know Ashley's name will live on with love-Bryson Hudson & Cherry Newton
