MICHU, "the smallest man on earth" (33 inches tall). The physically proportionate Lilliputian was born as Mihaly Meszaros, translated to English as "Michael Butcher." is close to the end of his life on earth
Ringling Brothers Circus (aka "The Greatest Show on Earth") credited Michu as "one of the biggest stars ever to perform in the circus."
Michu's long term manager, Dennis Varga, and his family, befriended Michu in 1974, and invited him to live in the family home from 1985 where he resided until his recent health problems. We need his fans to gather together to help with the expenses of his "Life Celebration." Since Michu has not worked in many years, and medical expenses have piled up, we have nothing to properly send him off. Please help us in this amazing cause. We need to raise as much money as we can for any more medical expenses and funeral/buriel expenses when the time comes.
About Michu:
Michu was born on September 20th, 1939 in a small village named "Pely," approximately 50 miles northeast of Budapest, Hungary. He is the seventh child born to a very poor family of sheepherders. Never in his wildest dreams did Michu think he would become best friends with the "greatest entertainer of all time, Michael Jackson, who was also born as the seventh child in his family, and with the same name "Michael," yes, the one and only "M.J." befriended his childhood idol: Michu.
Michu started performing in the circus at the early age of 14. In 1973, he was contracted by Ringling Brothers Barnum and Baily Circus. He instantly became a circus sensation and mesmerized audiences of all ages. Touring through the US and Canada, Michu performed for numerous crowds, including two US presidents, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, as well as many celebrities, politicians, and a multitude of famous people that will soon be revealed. Audiences will have never before published information about Michu, about how he was Michael's ideal. The story of M.J. at the age of 14 visiting the circus and being awestruck by Michu will be told in detail. Secrets of a unique friendship that developed years later when the two finally performed together will captivate fans and inform the public. This knowledge has presently only been shared by M.J., Michu, his manager Dennis Varga and his family.
After Ringling Brothers Circus, Michu landed the role of walk-around "Alf" (Alien Life Form from the planet Melmac) on the popular TV series of the 80's. His breakthrough acting career was followed by many TV sitcom roles (Dear John), music video performances (Aerosmith), and acting in motion pictures including: Big Top Pee-Wee, Waxwork, Warlock, Look Who's Talking, and many more.
Michu's history with his manager, Dennis Varga and his family, dates back over 30 years. Michu still shares residency with Dennis Varga and his wife, Irene, in Hawthorne, California. This suburb of Los Angeles is also the city with a street named after Michu, "Michu Lane" (across from the YMCA). Michu also became "Honorary Mayor" for the city of Hawthorne. Someone who was there when Michael was honeymooning with Lisa Marie Presley; someone who played with Prince and Paris when they were just toddlers. As Michael sat flanked by his parents during the private gathering at Neverland Ranch in December 2003, Michael cradled his muse in his lap as he watched the celebration unfold. This secret friend of Michael's has remained silent - until now.
