BSA Eagle Scout Service Project

My name is Brett Winckler and I am raising money to conduct a Boy Scout community service project to benefit Twin Hickory Elementary School.  In the court yard for the school, there are raised gardens for each class.  On certain days, the classes will go out and examine their gardens.  The project consists of an outdoor classroom with picnic tables for the students to use during instructional time while in the garden.  The families also enjoy coming to the garden on the weekends, and the tables will provide a space for them to have a picnic or relax in the garden.  The money will be used to purchase the materials needed to carry out the project.  I am planning on conducting the project before mid-April.  This is my last step to becoming an Eagle Scout, which is a very big deal for me.  I have been working toward this goal for over four years now, and finally the time has come to finish the last step of my journey.  This is very important to me because part of becoming an Eagle Scout is to plan and carry out a community service project.  This is also important to me because Twin Hickory is where I went to elementary school, and I absolutely loved going to school there.  I am so appreciative of how amazing they made my elementary school years that I really want to repay them for the amazing experience by helping them out.  Thank you all so much for your donations!  I have increased the goal because the extra money will be used to buy much nicer picnic tables for the school, and any money left over will be donated to the school for upkeep of the outdoor area.  Thanks again!
