Eviction Prevention

$1,445 of $3,500 goal

Hello, I'm Jenn and I'm trying to raise enough money to pay my landlord so that I won't be evicted from my apartment.

I lost my job in March and while I do get some unemployment compensation, it's not enough to be able to pay rent plus my other bills plus my medication for diabetes plus being able to feed myself and my kitties.

My goal of $3500 would be enough to cover the full back rent caused by my unemployment as well as a bit ahead until I am able to start my new job at the end of July.  I need at least $1000 by Monday to stall my landlord until I am able to pay the full amount.

This is a scary time.  I don't want to lose my home right on the threshold of being able to start a new job and get everything back on track.  I would honestly be grateful for any and all help at this time.

This is something that I had really hoped I wouldn't have to touch ever again. Unfortunately, the latest communication from my landlord is kind of forcing my hand. We've been notified that we have until January 6th, 2017 to pay $1000 rent. If we don't, then the 6th serves as our Notice to Quit. Which out here means we have ten days to vacate the premises.

It should go without saying that we can't afford to be homeless and we certainly haven't got the funds or people nearby to be able to move should the worst happen.

Ideally, I would like to reach at least the $1k as soon as is humanly possible by the landlord's deadline, but also to aim for a bit extra to help with bills and to give ourselves a slight cushion as a Just in Case.

I hate asking, but right now, I literally have no idea what else to do and my brain is panicking to the point where it's making it really hard to think logically.

We need help. Please.

Hello again. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to use this again, but I do. My landlord, after being really nice about the whole situation last week, has told me that he needs $500 by tomorrow. No more chances if he doesn't get the money. I am honestly super terrified and not really sure what to do other than this.

I hate asking, but I need help.

Again, a huge thanks to everyone! You're all wonderful, beautiful people.

I know this says eviction prevention, which it absolutely still is, but I'm going to have to say that this money is also going to have to be put towards a car as well as paying the very nice mechanic whose ATV I ended up hitting due to the brake and gas lines being partially cut through on my boyfriend's old car.

According to the mechanic, who called his parts dealer and let me speak with him, the axel for the ATV is going to be around 150-175. And the reason this is not going through insurance is the mechanic doesn't want to have our rates go up.

I'll be honest, I really don't know what to do at this point. I'm tired, shell shocked and feeling sort of grateful that if the lines had to go, at least it was at a mostly safe place.

Again, a huge thank you to everyone! I can't begin to express how grateful I am!

I spoke to the landlord again and he's not threatening to evict at this point. He did ask me to try and pay him 200-250 every two weeks to keep current. Which will be easy enough once I start the new job and start getting regular paychecks.

The landlord still needs the remaining back-due, but he's a little more willing to be patient thanks to you lovely folks.
