C&J's Sudden ER & Dental Bills Fund

Donation protected
Hey everyone, Chris and Jereme here! Our friends and family know us by our real names, but some in our gaming communities may know us as Kelzam (or Xenphire) and Castian (or Maxryn). We're a gaymer couple of 3.5 years living outside of Houston, TX and regularly contribute to various gaming communities.

What Happened?

After this last week, we found ourselves facing an unprecedented load of upcoming bills due to a trip to the ER and necessary dental surgery. In the last week we had to take Chris to the ER for massive head pain which even prescription pain killers weren't doing much for, then eventually the dentist to get financing. Chris did not have health insurance because he was waiting until mid-October to be eligible for enrollment through work.

The ER felt that Chris may have had cluster headaches because of his symptom of severe pain and pressure all through the right side of his head. This pain had been consistently increasing over the course of the previous week, and he was unable to work a couple of days because of how severe the pain had gotten.

We later found out that one of his wisdoom teeth had broken off, leaving an exposed nerve, so we needed to have a consultation and have it removed ASAP. Although we were able to finance it through a local Castle Dental branch, we had to pay for the pain killer prescription from the ER, as well as nearly $200 down which we sadly had to borrow from Jereme's mother so we could get the bad tooth pulled. The dentist informed us that the other three wisdom teeth needed to come out ASAP or they may become just as bad. However, because we're on this plan, we'll have to continue to pay for this on a monthly basis, on top of whatever the ER bill ends up being.

The last nail in the coffin was that because Chris had to call out of work due to the pain and then the consultation at the dentist's office, it was decided to let him go due to a zero tolerance policy on any absences during the first 90 days.

While this is the more immediate news, we've had other awful news this year, as well.

In February of 2016, Jereme's stepfather, Doyle, died of heart failure and other complications. Unfortunately this left his Mother with tons and tons of hospital bills. Because of this, we need to be able to pay her back ASAP for the $190 she loaned us to get Chris's broken tooth removed.

At the beginning of May 2016, Chris's grandfather, Rick, also passed away. Our previous GoFundMe let us put enough money aside to make a 20 hour round trip so that we could see his family the weekend before Christmas 2015. Chris was able to see his grandfather for the last time while visiting. Because of the hiring process and training schedule for a new job, Chris has yet to see his family or grandmother since his grandfather passed away in May due to the cost of the trip and having devoted extra funds to paying off bills to get ahead for the future.

How Will The Money Be Used?

Any money will be used to pay off the medical related bills we have accrued in the last two weeks, as well as to pay back Jereme's mother.

4th Priority: Set money aside to see Chris's family for the first time since his grandfather passed away. He wasn't able to be there for the funeral or to grieve with them since then. Their family is very close, and it's close to $400 for gas alone. $550-600 would be the ideal amount.

3rd Priority: Emergency Room Bill: Unknown Amount. We know that being admitted was $250 by itself, without any other charges they decided to add. No tests were ran but Chris was examined bythe Doctor and giving medication to take at the hospital. We anticipate the bill to be around $500 because of how easily the ER tacks things on to bills.

2nd Priority: Dental Financing: The current total of the financing is $1018.00. All of the work in the plan is going to be required sooner than later, and we would rather have this paid off and the work done than Chris miss out on work again or us not have the money or resources as soon as another wisdom tooth goes bad.

1st Priority: Paying Jereme's Mom back. Now that she has so many medical bills from her late husband, it's more important than ever that we can help her like she was able to help us. The $200 we borrowed will be paid back as a priority, but we would like to give her more if the campaign funding allows.

How Soon Do You Need These Funds?

In short: As Soon As Possible

In order to pay for everything in the last two weeks including the prescription from the ER, we had to shuffle around bills so that our Car Note and Insurance and others are following on the same paycheck. This means we are going to be nearly broke. Next month when these are due again, we will also be hit with the ER bill and Dentist bill. We also would rather be safe than sorry and have a little extra set aside in case Chris would need antibiotics because of his wisdoom teeth or complications with them; or in case the ER bill is higher than anticipated.

While Chris is on the hunt for a new employment opportunity, we will be a month to a month-and-a-half without the paycheck on him we depend on to pay our bills. This also means an even longer time before he'll be able to enroll for benefits/health insurance through whatever work place he finds. In other words, we won't be able to try and readjust any of our bills or be insured if anything else comes up between now and then.

Why Your Help Means So Much To Us

It's been a long journey, and we've struggled and done our best all along the way. As of this campaign, we've been together for three and a half years. We've never taken a vacation together or done a lot of things that are outside the realm of necessity. But helping us get on track and not sink below the poverty line as a result of the troubles recently is also helping us with our future.

Not many of our friends and family realize that we want to marry one another. We haven't officially engaged because we've been paying off bills and rings are kind of expensive, but we are dedicated to each other and want to spend the rest of our lives together. Some of our friends or family ask why we haven't just gotten married yet? We'd like to make it a little special, even if it's a small gathering, to celebrate our love for each other and our other loved ones. Helping us get back on track means we can focus on our future together, and hopefully sending you invitations for a gathering to celebrate our union.

Thank You!

Whether you can help in this effort, or simply took the time to read it, or pass it along to others, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We're trying the best we can, and sometimes you need some help. We didn't want to be here asking again after the car wreck last year and needing to ask for help then. But, life happens, and here we are. We're so very thankful that Jereme got to meet Chris's grandfather before he passed away, and that Chris was able to see him again before that time came, too.

We're very close to being in a place where we can move forward in life, doing even greater things together and shaping a beautiful future. Thank you for your consideration and any effort or thought put forth on your part.

With Love,

Christopher & Jereme
