Special Needs Pup Needs Amputation

Doc was rescued as a small puppy in TN, and taken to a rescue in Wisconsin where I adopted him. He was born missing his shoulder bone and his humerus. Doc is in training to be a therapy dog for children with special needs and also disabled veterans. However, his bad leg is impeding his training, and also negatively affecting his posture which will cause long term health problems. I have spoken to a handful of veterinarians and they have said that an amputation will improve his quality of life!
