I never thought I'd be in such a desperate situation to the point of pleeding for financial aid. Please forgive me. I would never ask unless it was absolutely necessary.
Two months ago, my father came to visit us in Florida, where he suffered a heart attack and two strokes in various different parts of the brain. He was in a coma and has been through a total of seven surgeries.
To this day, it is a shock within our family all that we have been through. You see these situations occur to others and never stop to think it would happen to someone you love. The first day, the doctors gave him 24 hours. We were told to say our good byes, it was very difficult for me. It has been very difficult for everyone, family and friends alike.
By the grace of God, the doctors and your prayers, today he is in a much more stable condition. My father overcame many obstacles and is winning one day at time. He has a tracheotomy hooked to a machine to help him breathe. He eats, takes medicine and relieves himself through various tubes and machines that are vital for his survival and safety, but he is alive!
We can see him gradually progress, getting a little better, although the process is painfully slow. He improves little by little by God's will. His recuperation is slow and requires a lot of patience and special care. Its for this reason that the hospital is pressuring us in many different ways (to which I'd rather not detail) in reguards to his placement.
They advices us to place my father under home care where he can recieve all the necessary care he needs. We have researched this along with all other possible options, but because my father is not an American citizen (with no insurance or Social Security) the cost is beyond our reach. It would be impossible for our family to pay.
Our plans are to send him back to Brazil on a specialized airplane so that he can recieve all the care he needs to recuperate at an expense we can afford when split between our siblings and family.
With this price, we would pay for the airplane with a nurse and doctor onboard as well as a hospital visit he would need after entering Brazil along with the inital cost for Home Care.
And so we ask all those who can assist, with any amount you can spare, to help us. It does not matter how much you can donate, any amount would be most helpul and appreciated.
It is as the saying goes, alone I am not strong enough but together we can accomplish anything. If every one of us that sees this donates a little, we will be a step closer to our goal.

Jamais pensei passar por uma situação tão desesperadora a ponto de pedir doações, mas meu amor de filha nesse momento é maior que qualquer constrangimento.
Há dois meses meu pai veio nos visitar na Flórida e sofreu um ataque cardíaco, seguido por dois AVC. Em função disso teve que passar por sete cirurgias, ficou em coma vários dias. Para os médicos ele não teria nem 24 horas de vida, mas a misericórdia de Deus o tem sustentado. Hoje ele encontra-se num estado mais estável e pouco a pouco vem superando os obstáculos.Por ser uma recuperação lenta, o hospital está forçando a saída dele de todas as formas, (coisas que prefiro nem comentar).Neste momento, ele precisa de cuidados que não podemos oferecer aqui, pois ele não é cidadão americano e não possuía seguro de viagem. Os valores cobrados aqui nos EUA são exorbitantes e muito longe de nossas condições.Por esses motivos resolvi pedir a ajuda de todos que puderem de alguma forma nos ajudar a alcançar a quantia necessária para fazermos o traslado do meu pai para o Brasil em uma UTI aérea.
Toda ajuda é bem vinda neste momento, independente da quantia. Creio que juntos conseguiremos o valor necessário.
