Steven saves brothers life recovery

Steven and Donovan where hit by a car while walking to school. They waited for the signal and entered the crosswalk when they where struck by a teen driver. Steven pushed his younger brother out of the way and saved his life but took the greatest hit from the car. He suffered several fractures to the left side of his face and underwent surgery that resulted in several plates and mesh being added to reconstruct his face and support his left eye. He also has serious scarring to his face, chest, knees and right foot.

Steven has tried to remain positive and has been nominated by the deputy sheriff on this case of the San Marcos Police department to be honored for his act of bravery. We hope this nomination will result in him being awarded. 

Donovan was also hit by the car but was hit from the legs down and he suffers from brusing so far and emotional pain. 

 We  have had loving friends provide meals and gifts for the children which have been very helpful and encouraging. 

I (mother and single parent) have had to take a leave from work to care for both of my children and during this leave I've exhausted my PTO (or paid time off) and do not have any financial support to assist with our living expenses. Despite this being a tramatic enough event this does not stop the bills in fact it has increased them and our everyday expenses. Any and all contributions are greatly appeciated and needed.
