To know him is to love him. Stafford was devoted to God, family and the Runnymede Community. His greatest joy was to come to work and see the kids every day. He led a modest life but he was rich in spirit. Let us honour him for all he gave to us...please donate to show your appreciation ❤️
Stafford has always been an inspirational figure at Runnymede PS from 1994-2016. He was kind, caring and generous in what he gave to the families; his blessings. He safeguarded so many children day after day, year after year. It was the biggest joy of his life. He changed the lives of so many kids; influenced them to be positive about going to school, helped calm nerves, ease worry and bring a smile to everyone’s face. Even in his final days, he sent a message back to the kids saying for me to tell them that he missed them.
He rises to the top as a model citizen. In fact, we recall how he was voted Canada’s Favourite Crossing Guard. I only knew him for the past five years but he has been touching the hearts of so many families for decades.
I only truly realized the depth of his reach when tributes started pouring in from his former students, coworkers and friends. It’s this outpouring and community-rallying that confirms how great he was. The donations so far speak volumes about how the community loves him and it will go a long way to helping Stafford’s wife.
I am thinking of ways we could honour him. His memorial service is on Sat. Jan. 13th, 2018 at Bethel Apostolic Church at 1831 Weston Road.
Stafford’s wife, Velma Hope, is eternally grateful for your love, kind words, and donations.
