Dario & Isa: Kilimanjaro Challenge

As some of you may already know, we (Dario and Isa) will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro this summer.
On August 22nd, we will start walking for 7 days through rain forest, desert and glacier landscapes, traveling a distance of over 100km by foot to reach the roof of Africa at a height of 5895 meters - an incredible challenge, for an even more important cause.
In collaboration with Serve the City, a wonderful international initiative, our aim is to raise money for not one, but various (local) causes.
Serve the City started in Brussels in 2005 with a week of volunteering and is now active or starting up in 100 cities around the world.
It is a global movement of volunteers, showing kindness in practical ways to people in need. Partnering with homeless shelters, refugee centers, orphanages and other associations, Serve the City offers help and support by setting up events that mobilize many volunteers to serve in simple ways – sports, music, arts and crafts, meals, friendship and more.
Serve the City operates in a unique way, in the sense that the organization relies solely on donations and the help of active volunteers, meaning all the funds raised go directly to the causes they support.

We will also post regular updates on here, for those of you who'd like to follow our preparations along the way.
