It's with a heavy heart I share that Eddie passed on Tuesday June 13th, he was with friends and family. The loss of a loved one is harder then any thing I can imagine. Funeral expensive are a stress and struggle on top of it all. With a lack of income for my mom now I ask for any bit of help for her in this time. I appreciate all of you for all the love and support you have given her and Eddie throughout all of this.

Hello Friends. Because of Eddies loss of half of his Pancreas he is now a Diabetic. They will try to treat it with Pills rather then Insulins shots at first, that depends on his Diet though, he is now on what they call a Consistent Carbohydrate Diet. We measure the Carbs in grams so not units, units are not as reliable in this case. Before I order anything, does anybody have Diabetic cook books that they don't need? I am looking for the measurements in grams NOT UNITS. Thank you !

Eddie and Renate thank you all for you positive thought and love. He still has a long road ahead. Here's a little update:
Good Morning, today is Chemo day! We did all the blood tests and Doc visits yesterday, everything looks really great. Eddie's tumor markers are down again!!!! Nobody expected this. The lest result was 489 a month ago, yesterday 78. The Doc is very hopeful that we can at least control the Cancer for a few years to come. It still throws Eddie for a loop, Chemo that is, but we are so happy about the result. So keep up the prayers and good thoughts, something is working and we take anything we can get. I started a strict regimen on Hydration and Diet to help with the treatment and to fight the cancer, I am hoping it helps together with the Chemo. Thank you again.

Been a while since the last Eddie update. It has been crazy and a emotional up and down constantly. So a month after the surgery another ct scan was done. They found some lesions on the liver. biopsy scheduled and performed, Lesions are cancer. We are now stage 4 Pancreatic cancer that went to the liver, that's the bad news, the good news the cancer is only in the liver not any place else. However it is still stage 4, that is considered terminal. He started Chemo today, a very strong aggressive form of chemo. This will be the hardest time yet. We will do this for three months to see if the chemo is helping. Then we go from there. So it sounds so harsh, but that's about all I can manage to do. Just wanted to let all of you that have been involved with thoughts and prayers know.
