Help Alaska Bush Pilots

On the night of June 1st, 2016 a currently at large criminal slashed the tires of 87 aircraft at Merrill Field in Anchorage, Alaska.
87 aircraft is no small number. This is a catostophic and maddening event!
Aviation is a way of life in Alaska, not to mention the way that many people in the backcountry receive vital supplies and food.
From pleasure, to business, to those who rely on aviation to survive in Alaska, this event has impacted a great number of people.
Tires for these aircraft can cost thousands of dollars. For some pilots, that may be very hard to swallow.
This campaign will offer as a way for pilots to get back into the air swiftly, and take less of a hit on their pocket book.
Make no mistake- Alaskans are tough. They'll pull together and get back in the air somehow. When it comes to their pocketbook, as a fellow Alaskan, I'd like to see these fine aviators take a minimal hit because of some guys stupidity.
Other efforts going on currently:
--> Many Facebook pages related to Alaskan aviation are pulling together there reasources to help. That means that many fellow Alaskans are offering their spare sets of wheels/tires for others to use. Before buying, look at this resource .
--> Alaskan Bushwheels is offering a discount on tires, but it quickly running out of stock. A full replacement may not be necessary with the use of a repair kit. They are stepping up production to get popular tire models back in stock. More info here.
When these efforts have failed, it'd be great if we could pull together as a community to help out our fellow aviators.
PLEASE Donate. Don't count on the other guy to do it. Be generous, slap down a few hundred dollars if you're able, and let's pull together for our flying community.
