My name is Toni Gardner and I am a Creative Therapist, Counsellor and Life Coach.
I am raising money for the Treelight Fertility Support Group. The group is an absolute lifeline to many women in our community who are dealing with; Infertility, Recurrent miscarriage, the Adoption process and/ or accompanying medical conditions such as PCOS or Endometriosis. The group is the only one of its kind in the South East.
We provide a safe space for these women (and occasionally men) to meet every week and share and support each other. We provide hot drinks and homemade snacks (made with fertility boosting ingredients) and have regular guest speakers in from different fields and therapies to talk to the women and help them. We also teach the women various techniques to help with their anxiety, stress and depression during this trying time in their life. Most importantly we provide unfailing emotional support, both face to face and online.
The money raised here will fund our group for an entire year, providing much needed support to all the couples in our community who are struggling to have a baby. The total stated here will cover ALL costs for that year from Venue hire and facillitation to insurance, resources, advertising, food and literature.
We need more funding as soon as possible to allow us to continue running this group, which has already helped so many.
This group is extremely close to my heart and so are the women who attend it. For 8 years I struggled with the heartache of infertility and underwent several rounds of IVF treatment before I was blessed with my son. Infertility is still taboo and thought of as shameful by many. Not many people talk about it and as such, you feel very alone, as well as angry, scared and depressed. I set up this group as I remember these feelings well and during my treatment there was NO support group I could go to and nowhere I could be with other people who really understood what I was going through in my desperate quest to be a Mummy.
Please help me to continue to support these women who just want what everyone else can have naturally. I am extremely thankful and grateful for ANY donation, large or small. Every little helps. x
