Our mate Mark Maxted is just one of those genuinely great people, so when he became really sick and needed a mechanical heart to survive, we couldn't sit back and do nothing.
We couldnt imagine walking in his shoes but my husband Dan will be running 42km in his own in the Adelaide marathon in August for Mark, Lynette and their kids Ryan and Katy.  
We want and need to support Maxted's family while he waits for the chance of a donor heart. 
His wife Lynette and their beautiful children are here in Adelaide and need to make the trip to Melbourne to be with Mark when they can. We want them to be able to go as many times as they can!
