Fund The Rhythm of The Knight

Donation protected
Greetings to all potential sponsors and donors. I am Anthony Hibbler one of two founders of The Nei Phi Neph Mentoring Program. Charlene Young(my mother) is the Co-Founder. Our mentoring group was formed in the beginning to keep her grandchildren (my nieces and nephews) out of trouble and involved in safe and productive activities to alleviate idle time. Our program consists of Fine Arts and Community Service.

We are seeking to raise funds for new uniforms, new drums for our Marching Drumline and a building to operate out of. Our drumline goes all over the country and represents for the city of Milwaukee with dual purposes. For one we desire to show the world that there are positive and productive youth in Milwaukee and two we desire to expose the youth to different parts of the country (and world abroad) so that they can see the vast amount of opportunity they are afforded when they work for it.

Our annual summer camp begins at the end of June  (June 19th, 2016) and goes to the end of August.  This camp is performance inclusive and teaches the youth the discipline to participate in a team activity  and to better themselves. Our drums have been used very much and have assisted us in fundraising for many trips. We are now looking to purchase new drums and uniforms to continue the journey we have begun in our great city.

Our endeavors have not gone without some resistance even though we are doing a very positive thing. Police have been called on us because of the amount of noise that our group makes when taking to the streets and parks in effort to rid our participants of the idle time that a lot of youth use to participate in troublesome activities.

The Nei Phi Neph Marching Knights Drumline has participated in many annual events both local and a lot of the country including Chicago,Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, Louisville, Kentucky, Dayton, Columbus and Cinncinati, Ohio, Fargo, North Dakota, Sidon,Mississippi,  Minneapolis, Minnesota, Memphis,Tennessee, and more.  We enter many competitions and would love to look even better than we do without uniforms so that our appearance is not an automatic negative on our scores.

We know that this amount is a lot yet we know that we have a very great support team that really desires to see us looking  and hear us sounding our best. We would love to be able to celebrate with a victory event at the completion of our camp to signify reaching all three of our goals. We are aware that while some of you are not finacially able to do as much as you would like, you are abundantly able to get the word out. Perhaps you know someone who is able to help tremendously or many people whose small gifts can add up to help us. Please share the news and help us ask for assistance.

This means so much to us because we have been privileged to touch the lives of over four hundred participants over the 8 years that we have been in existence in the city of Milwaukee. We know with your support we will be able to touch more lives and help to create a better Milwaukee and America by continuing to help nurture the gifts of the youth and giving them a fighting chance in this community and in life overall.

We express gratitude to our many supporters over the years who have written checks, dropped money in a bucket, cleared their vehicle ashtrays to ensure they showed us support. Not one of you go unnoticed and we want to always put our best foot forward so that we put our gratitude into every show we put on. Thank you in advance and we look forward to a gift of any amount with your name on it.
