Hello,
My name is Jimelle Levon, I am an 18 year old designer from Columbus, Ohio. My creativity began my freshman year of high school, I started off customizing converse then jean jackets. At the age of 14 I taught myself how to sew. From there I started to receive orders and came up with the name KOLDKUT for my business. Since then, I continued to better my sewing skills. My junior & senior year of high school I took a graphic arts class teaching me how to screen print and make shirts. Now, I am making prom dresses and balancing my website orders, which I do on my own. I've made a total of 20 prom dresses this season from April 4th - May 20th, while still succeeding in high school. I am extremely blessed & talented, fashion design is what I call my God given talent, which I'll never take for granted. I created and launched my website In February 8th of 2016, www.koldkut.com.
I created a total of 20 prom dresses for females around my city. For my prom I wanted to switch it up and do something out the box. I decided to replicate the gold dress from the hit movie Coming to America , which was a huge success. I also customized my blazer to match my prom date's dress. I was graciously surprised about the amount of social media attention the dress and my outfit received. There has been both good comments, nevertheless, It has opened many doors for me.
My goal for creating this account is to help support my future. Many people have asked how they could help, this would be the best way. I will be attending Clark Atlanta University this fall, which is a huge honor. I chose my HBCU over two fashion schools. I have faith that I am being led in the right direction attending Clark Atlanta University. Although I have already been accepted, Im still in need of almost $25,000.00 to be able to attend in the fall of 2016. I created this account to help support my future schooling and also my business. All donations are greatly appreciated.
