Bob Geiger Medical Fund

On Monday, May 23, 2016 Bob Geiger went to George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC for an appointment about a large tumor in his abdomen. It was decided that Bob needed immediate surgery and he was operated on that evening around 6:30 pm. At 8:30 pm the surgeon told us that Bob had survived the operation and that Bob was stable. The surgeon explained that he removed an 80 pound tumor from Bob's adomen area. This is the biggest tumor the surgeon has ever removed and the largest tumor removed at the hospital. In addition, Bob lost one kidney, his appendix and spleen. The surgeon and doctors at GWU are amazed at his progress to date. Bob continues to recover at the hospital.

Bob has been a part of the racing community since the late 1960's. He has raced many different tracks and divisions through the years. For many years Bob and his wife Debbie worked on the pit crew for Dirt Late Model racing legend, Larry Moore. One of their favorite moments was being on the crew when Larry won the World 100 at Eldora Speedway. Bob currently races in the late model division at his home track Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Delaware. He also runs special late model races at the Georgetown Speedway in Georgetown, Delaware. Bob competed in 38 Winternational Races at Eastbay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. Bob was the only driver to compete in all of the first 38 Winternationals. Bob also enjoys mentoring younger drivers and trying to grow the sport of dirt late model racing. Bob and his wife Debbie are the pit crew on Bob's car and put their money, hearts and souls in to racing.

Now Bob and Debbie need our help to deal with medical bills and other monetary issues that go along with being in the hospital. Since the racing community is so close, we are asking you to help them out. Any amount you can donate would help greatly and be appreciated more than you will ever know. If anyone has any questions or needs additional information, please contact us. Please share this with all of the racing community!!!
