Feature Horror Film Time to Fear

We are a group of artists collaborating in a feature film Time to Fear that want to help people understand there are other options besides those imposed by the system specifically regarding depression. We are not an organization, nor a established company yet. We (the professional artists in Time to Fear) have worked together in various projects. Some of us are veterans of the arts, people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s are working with one common vision. To transform our reality by teaching to those in need, lessons that might help them not only survive but live in peace and happiness overcomming fear.
We are raising money to shoot this film. We want to fight depression and help people understand it might be a sickness from the soul that you can overcome. That it might be a temporary phase but you need to get to know yourself first and solve unresolved issues from your past in order to be happy in your present.
I moved to NYC from Europe and before from South America. I changed careers, jobs, languages and culture and get to know people all over the planet sharing the same issues. I notice people' s choices in life and when people continue in a track that does not make them happy or fullfill their expectactions and they insist on routine it is because they are afraid of change.
Unfortunately I have seen friends and family died out of depression although they were medicated. I myself has suffered from anxiety and depression and it took me years to go back in track although I have worked and functioned socially very well but not everybody is the same.
I discovered mainly in the U.S. that there was a disconnection of emotions. People don't want to express their feeling often There is an unbalance between the soul, the brain and the body. Furthermore I believe in a world of armony that is broken when you suffered from depression. You need to know what you want in life in terms of profession, relationships and most important your inner self to get a balance. If your soul is troubled you will never be happy with yourself nor with other people in a relationship. Our existence is ruled by our job routine, stress and obligations and these ones can block your perspective and you won't be able to see through but only your soul will know if you have a meaninful existence if you feel sad, anxioius, not present etc.
Many times you don't know you are a victim of depression but keep on going maintaining your lifestyle thinking and hoping you are fine.
It is our mission by making this film TIME TO FEAR that you will wake up to consciousness and enjoy your life. And if you happen to be passing through a depression phase or even worse you are sick of this maladie look for help and consider all alternatives.
In our film TIME TO FEAR depression is portrayed as a diabolic possession. The life of Angelo and his sister Laura hunted by this curse since they witnessed the dead of their mother. A past event that was never solved. We want you to understand, acept and live in the real present time because the past is gone and the future will never be here. We only live the present.
Furthermore we believe in the co existance with other beings in different dimensions that our brains are unable to identify or see. But some people are more sensitive and open to these fields than other and they can perceive the forces good and evil, ying and yang, light and darkness, God and Evil fighting. And you in the middle taking decisions, choosing your destiny.
We are raising money to make people aware about this sickness and its consequences. To wake you up to a level of consciousness and to seek help once you need it. Not to be afraid, not to be a victim and fight for your only gift:life and your present time. We want to do this through this story very well portrayed. We want teach people not to be afraid so we want to make this feature film TIME to FEAR.
The money we need does not cover the real cost of a movie shot in NY but we want to do it no matter what and during this summer because some actors are full time employed along the year and have few holidays in July and August.
The money will pay stipends for transportation for 30 actors (who are salary deferred), we need to pay food for everybody the crew and actors, the air ticket for the director of photography from Puerto Rico, to pay a small percentage to the writers. We need to rent lights, to rent cameras and lenses , to pay the make up artist so necessary in this genre of horror, to buy second hand wardrobe, to buy make up, to pay for transportation of equipment and artists/crew to far locations in NYC that were kindly given to us for free, to pay a modest amount to other locations that require it, to rent vehicles for the chasing scenes, to pay the editor and colorist of the film, to give a stipend to the sound supervisor, the music creator and original music composer. To pay the most amount of the money for special effects that is the most expensive part of the post production phase. We have been working for free and collaborating but there are some equipment that needs to be rent or buy for example the memory cards to record the film.
We need the funds as soon as possible. We want to shoot by the end of July. We already have the script, the director, the assistant director, the director of photography, the cast is done, the script breakdown is done, we have confirmed the make up artist, the wardrobe arstist, the sound supervisor, the music composer and some locations.
This means a lot for us because we want to convey a message of hope not only to those suffering from depression but also to all actors of the world with different colors accents, cultures and creeds. We have a diverse cast from the US, Africa, Latin America, Europe and Asia. We all can coexist because we are part of one planet and we share needs and hopess regardless of differences. All that can be portrayed in this film not only through their cast but through the story.
We can work together in harmony we can teach a lesson of hope in life through a story that portrarys depression as an attack of the soul. This means a lot to us because we became professional artists to change the world through the arts by teaching messages in filmstories that relates to every human soul in the planet.
We will be extremely thankful not only in our souls because we have accomplished a challenging mission by teaching humans that we all matter. But we will donate a percentage of our profits to those in need such as children suffering from fatal deseases or inmigrants in need. We will defintely pay our actors for their work (with your contribution we will start to shoot but money to pay everybody will be deferred. Once we sell the movie we will pay actors for their work). As an actor myself I can tell how frustrating it is when companies promise you payment and copies of your work that never happen. In our case we belive in fair work and compensation. So we will also look for meaningful work to achieve in the close future. THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH, IN GOD AND YOU WE TRUST.
