House Fire

Thursday May 26th my family went through the most heartbreaking moment of our lives, My family's home caught on fire and we had no idea until someone who was driving by our house came and banged on our front door telling us half of our house was burning, the power then went out and me, my brother and his girlfriend continued to get us and our three dogs out safely. Our parents and younger sister were out of town at the time on vacation in Mexico so we had to make a call to them no one is ever prepared to make. It was so heartbreaking standing on the side of the road feeling so helpless watching our home burn, nothing but tears and complete sadness watching everything we had including childhood memories be destroyed right in front of our eyes. The firefighters did a wonderful job putting it out. We were lucky enough that it was put out before it had reached our parents bedroom where my mom holds some of our childhood memories so we were able to save the ones that were salvageable. God has a plan for each and everyone of us and I'm glad he gave us a second chance for a new start at life. With the love and support we have from all of you around will help us get through this.
