Courtney & Jeremy's Dream Wedding

Donation protected
I’m just a stranger who came across this amazing story of love, courage and God’s amazing grace. Looking through a Facebook wedding page, I came across a bride looking for advice and wedding decorations. It all started when I asked her the details of their wedding and Courtney shared their story with me. Their journey has touched my heart and I knew I had to help in any way that I can; so with the help of friends, family and some local business I hope to help this amazing couple have the wedding of their dreams!

Jeremy and Courtney started dating in 2011, after 4 long years they got engaged in 2015. As their wedding planning journey started it wasn’t long before it came to a halt for the first time. On November 21st Courtney lost her mother from a sudden massive heart attack. Due to her mother’s passing Courtney and Jeremy’s wedding budget was gone and their wedding was put on hold. Dealing with the passing of her mother and trying to plan a very minimum budget wedding was hard. Again just a short 3 months later their wedding planning came to another halt February 21st when Jeremy was following Courtney home and got into a horrid wreak that would change both their lives forever. Seconds after Jeremy lost control of his truck he struck an embankment and his truck hit a tree going 90 mph head on. Jeremy was thrown around in the truck as the motor flew 200 feet out of the truck. Jeremy was none responsive, a medic got in the truck with him and started singing to him. A few moments passed and Jeremy started singing back to her! He was alive! Jeremy was sent to UMMC in Jackson where Courtney stayed by his side for the next two months. After 2 days of waiting, Jeremy woke up from an induced coma with tubes down his throat and scared to death. They were informed Jeremy was paralyzed due to breaks in neck and back; ending with the loss of hand motor skills and movement from the chest down. Jeremy fought hard for 3 weeks to breath on his own to get the ventilator out and be sent home. Now just 3 months since Jeremy’s accident; it has been an emotional, scary, and happy recovery process. Beings 24/7 caretaker has been hard on Courtney and she is unable return to work at this time. Courtney and Jeremy believe as most of us know God is good! They believe they were handed this life and its circumstance to learn and love each other more. Both agree they wouldn't be anywhere else!

I ask that you please keep both Jeremy and Courtney in your prayers and if you are able to help in any way it will be greatly appreciated.
