Philippine Trip Gone Bad

Chris and Joefe Lucmayon, from Kuya Wayne's Sari Sari Store in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, started off in their dream trip back home to Cebu in the Philippines on May 11, 2016. Their first day they visited a resort with their family. Chris decided to take a quick trip down a waterslide at the resort. Halfway down, the slide took a sharp turn. Chris bounced off the slide and fell one and a half stories to the ground below.
Chris sustained a fractured back, brain trama and clotting, and lung collapse. It's been over a month, in and out of surgery. At times Chris has slipped in and out of coma. Just when it seemed like he was well on the way to recovery, his health would slip down again.
The spirit and heart is there to recover, but it will take a long time. Unfortunately, the fact is like so many Filipinos travelling home to visit they didn't consider medical insurance. Medical bills have build up to incredible levels.
Joefe is in tears each and every day. Her husband is in and out if ICU. She loves her husband very much. Funds and borrowing have long run out, and time is short to make up what is needed.
Please help Joefe and Chris with a simple donation - in the spirit and heart of the Philippine community. But mostly, please for everyone to learn the lesson to buy travel insurance when travelling home. Lessons learned, but they really need your help.
