Lakeshia Dibbles was a light to this world that will forever be missed.

Last night, on May 25th, 2016 at roughly 9:30pm, my sister-in-law, Lakeshia Dibbles, passed away and went to be with the Lord. We are really just trying to process everything and are completely shocked, but we take comfort that the Lord is sovereign and is in control of all things. Last week, Lakeshia slipped and fell and took serious trauma to her head. She was rushed to the ICU where she could be monitored closely, but the trauma to her brain caused hemorrhaging and swelling. Sadly, it was just too much and she lost her life.

I'm setting up this GoFundMe account for Vannetta (my mother-in-law) and Darnell to help cover her funeral expenses and any hospital expenses. I do not believe she had any life insurance, medical insurance, etc, and any support given to help our family in this time of need would be appreciated beyond what words could express.

Lakeshia was a bright light to this world- her smile and warm personality will be missed every day. She was so quick to serve, love and embrace those around her. I know I will miss her every day. I am asking that you could please keep Vannetta, Darnell and all family in your thoughts and prayers. The following was beautifully written by Darnell:

"The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” (Job 1:20–21)

"I wanted to begin celebrating the life of my sister Lakeshia Dibbles who passed away suddenly last night. She was my only sister, my only sibling. The bond that we had was very special. Unlike any other relationship I had or ever will have. She may not have known it, but I looked up to her in so many ways. She was one of the funniest, most charismatic and engaging people I had the pleasure of knowing. Keisha lit up any room that she was in. She had the upmost potential to do whatever she wanted to do and it was encouraging to know that she began to realize that in the latter years of her life. But, our God is sovereign, and for reasons I won't ever question, He wanted to take her home with Him.

God..HE blessed us with..HE GAVE us 33 years of this wonderful woman. But I am thankful that we serve a God who TAKES. He takes away pain. He takes away sorrow. He takes away depression. My sister has been hurting for a long time and my LORD said enough. He wanted to take it all away...and so He did. And I praise Him for it.

I will miss you Keisha. The warm smile; watching movies late night; the huge laughs; just simply being goofy in the way only siblings can. But, I rejoice in the fact that you don't have to hurt anymore. The hurt that still haunted you from losing daddy too soon. You can now truly rest in peace. Until we meet again my sweet little sister. I will always love you.

The next few weeks will be extremely tough (especially as shock turns to grief), so please pray for my family, especially my mother, who was my sister's best friend in life. However, we will fix our eyes upon Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. For I know the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds in Him. Amen."

Thank you for your love and support.
