Binkley's Vet Expenses

Binkley is my 17 year old snowshoe siamese. I got him as a kitten, he's one of those best cats in the world. He's like my child, as any pet owner knows.
A month ago he stopped eating. I thought it was just him being old and constipated, but taking him to the vet showed otherwise. He had a bad urinary infection that got to his kidneys, and if anything that was the good news. Kidney disease had loomed, and he still had to spend an entire day in care even after suffering an enema.
Now he's on the mend, but there are massive vet bills to be paid at a time when I'm between set jobs and, frankly, it's hard enough paying the rent. And sadly he's not done healing, he may well need another enema, the poor guy, before all is said and done. He's better but still not pooping yet, to share tmi. 
I am a former academic who works with musicians and is currently scraping by at it. These funds would go first, about 2k of it, to paying the bills already from his care. The rest would be a reserve for further visits he may need and any related expenses.
I will be eternally grateful to any who help, but the point is him, not me.
