Need a Little Help from My Friends

Donation protected
I am finally home and resting. Surgery went very well and my level of care was beyond amazing. Grant Riverside Orthopedics and Floor B nurses and techs rock so much.

In case any of you didn't know what happened, I was crippled by the very creature I know and love, The Dog! I was basically knocked down by two charging dogs at Whetstone Park on Sunday June 12, 2016 around 11;30 am. I walk Marley my dog there almost every day and have done this for 10 plus years. Dogs are off leash and rambunctious, but well behaved and I have never had any incidents like this before. Accidents do happen, dogs need to run, and humans get in the way. I tried to get out of the way, but 2 50 lbs running into you at Underdog Speed is a great force. Much like an MMA Takedown, it was quick, fast, and the dogs won the match. Dogs were not trying to win though, so guess MMA analogy is a stretch, but the devastation was epic.

I love my doggie friends and their owners, so this was truly an accident. However, the dogs impact broke my Tibia bone, my Femur Bone, and my Meniscus had to be reattached. I am off of my feet for 6 weeks and out of work.

I have short term disability insurance and a portion of my medical bills will be paid, but I have to come up with a $2500 co pay as well as household expenses. We had another medical situation back in February, so we are still trying to recover from those bills as well.

I am just asking to help me, Kevin, and our dog out for two months of expenses. I am hoping that this is over by the end of the summer, and I return back to work then. My job is safe for now, but I have no idea if it will be there when this is all over.

I am really ashamed to be asking for help, but I have exhausted all other avenues. I have always tried to help others out over the years, and now I am the one asking for help.

I would be more than happy to help everyone out with basic stuff as well as free pet sitting when I am back on my feet again. I will do any job that will make your life easier as well such as running errands, watching your kids, cleaning your house, or any kind of sweat equity.

I have always been a honest person as well as a good friend and will Pay It Forward. My Thanks to all of you will never be forgotten.
